Bride, with no girlfriends, asks her male friends to play along the role of traditional bridesmaids, makes for a ‘super fun’ photoshoot

Bride, Rebecca Abrantes, did not let a lack of female friends stop her from having a big traditional pre-wedding party. Instead, she had her male friends step in as bridesmaids for the day, and it worked out perfectly!

Rebecca Abrantes had her guy friends step in as bridesmaids for her wedding.

She did not have many female friends but still wanted a bridesmaids photoshoot.

Rebecca Abrantes, 24, a computer engineering student from Brazil, is one of four females from her class of 60 students, which is why most of her friends are guys.

She is a 24 year old student of computer engineering in Brazil.

Her class of 60 only has 4 girls, hence she does not have that many female friends.

A week before her wedding, Rebecca realized she wanted the traditional bridesmaids party photoshoot – manicures, pedicures, facials and a lot of drinking and gossiping.

She was looking up wedding inspiration when she realized she really wanted a bridesmaids photoshoot.

She wanted to sit with her friends and have drinks while gossiping and getting pedicures.

She said, “I came up with the idea one week before the wedding. I was looking into some ‘making of’ pictures of brides with their gang of girls, all in robes, laughing, drinking champagne and all, and I got a bit sad because I wouldn’t be able to do anything like that.”

She became sad when she realized she didn’t have the traditional bridesmaids.

She had seen a bunch of ‘making of’ photoshoots online and wanted the same with her bridesmaids.

Despite her lack of girlfriends, Rebecca did not let herself lose out on having the perfect photoshoot – all with the support of her guy friends!

The bride wore a white silk robe, with rollers in her hair, while her friends around her wore baby pink satin robes.

She asked her guy friends to step in as bridesmaids.

They agreed to play the part of bridesmaids for the sake of the photoshoot.

The set up made for the perfect photoshoot.

She further said, “The photoshoot was super fun. Everyone was taking shots of cheap booze and sometimes we were laughing so much that we had to take some time to recover and get on with the photos.”

Rebecca and her bridesmaids drank cheap booze and did each others nails.

They did traditional things such as measuring the dress.

They all sat around and gossiped for the perfect bridesmaids picture.

Rebecca shared the photoshoot on her Facebook and it instantly went viral as people caught on to the cute idea.

Throughout the photoshoot, the boys played along the “bridesmaids duties” while they relaxed themselves with facial masks, reacted to gossip and even shaved their legs.

Rebecca shared her photoshoot online.

It went viral as people appreciated the concept of having a bridesmaids party no matter what.

Rebecca and her friends received a lot of love for their idea.

She later claimed, “I am very happy with the photos. Sometimes I look back at them and find myself laughing like crazy. But I never imagined they would become so viral.”

Rebecca knew her idea was unique but didn’t expect it to go viral.

She says she laughs at the pictures now, seeing her friends acting like typical bridesmaids.

Rebecca is very happy with her bridesmaids photoshoot.
