Police Put Umbrella On This Car, When It’s Revealed What Is Underneath, I Couldn’t Believe My Eyes

Bird Is Found Lying On Police Car

Police in Parma, Ohio found a dove lying on the base of a police cruiser's windshield. Rather than shooing away the bird, they decided to place traffic cylinders and caution tape around the car, to ensure no one bothered the bird. Why were the police officers being so cautious? She was lying on two unhatched eggs!

The Bird Built A Nest For Her And Her Chicks

The bird had carefully built a nest of grass and twigs on the hood of the car. She was just looking for a place to rest with her, soon to be, chicks. Not only did the police block off the car from being moved, they also placed an umbrella over the bird to shield unwanted sunlight and rain. The officers also provided her with food and water.

They Nicknamed Her Gerty

“We care for all lives human and animal, so the officers [made sure] this bird, which they nicknamed Gerty, is taken care of and can take care of her young in the cruiser," said police spokesperson, Kevin Riley.

Thank You Police!

Everyone lent a helping hand to ensure this momma bird was able to care for her chicks on the police car. We should be thankful for the police, who are dedicated to serving and defending others, in their times of need and security, no matter how big or small the individuals are!
